The low water level of Lake Czorsztyn reveals the trunks of trees submerged here almost 30 years ago.
A record-breakingly warm winter and almost complete lack of snow (for Podhale conditions) will probably result in a massive drought this year, not only here, but in the entire mountainous part of the Vistula River basin, i.e. the Dunajec, San, Raba and dozens of smaller tributaries. All this will, as a consequence, deepen the drought that has been going on for many years in the lowlands of Poland.
I suppose that the upper Odra River basin will not be in better condition than it is here.

Rekordowo ciepła zima i prawie całkowity brak śniegu (jak na podhalańskie warunki), będzie zapewne skutkował tego roku potężną suszą, nie tylko u nas, ale w całej górskiej części dorzecza Wisły, czyli Dunajca, Sanu, Raby i dziesiątek pomniejszych dopływów. Wszystko to w konsekwencji, pogłębi trwającą już wiele lat suszę na terenach nizinnych Polski.
Jak mniemam, górne dorzecze Odry, nie będzie w lepszej kondycji niż jest to u nas.
Dziwi zdanie niektórych ludzi, twierdzących że coś takiego jak globalne ocieplenie i zmiany klimatu nie istnieją - albo są głupi, albo ślepi - inaczej tego nie potrafię wytłumaczyć.
